Irony Point is a project I have been paying attention to as long as I have been involved in making sound and attending noise shows. Damien’s work has gained heavy amounts of respect over the years for its pure intensity and unforgiving edge. Damien’s work in NJ hosting the event series “Euphoria” and organizing in the Asbury Park area was the stepping stones for many in their journey finding noise. Truly a huge piece of the history of our scene. “my body, the endless void” makes a ton of sense to me as a physical document of a lot of the performances I have witnessed from the project, it brings back a lot of the classic live ideas but organizes them in a way where it’s a very concise through and through experience.
