Ténèbres / Mound of Glass - split CS

Gracious Host is proud to present a split offering of prime material from two projects sharing a singular cinematic obsession. Ténèbres and Mound of Glass provide their audience with one extended piece each of paranoia, fear, and sensation.

A long-standing fan of the Giallo, Richard Ramirez shows us how it's done when it comes to using cinematic fetish as an inspiration for noise. 'A Shiver of Agony' is the appropriately titled blistering harsh wall we are hit with. Balance and precision are strongly at play here. The piece drips with textural nuance, chilling movements and excellent pacing.

This split also sees Mound of Glass coming into their own, as the duo of Seven Caso and Weston Czerkies has only had one demo prior to this release but has been writing and playing out regularly in their home of Ithaca, NY. 'Vault of Secrets Under Your Feet' is a full plate of junk metal, tape loops, feedback and loads of Giallo flavor. Lock your doors, draw your shades, put on something comfortable, and press play.
