Hand & Knee is a solo project by John Grimaldi, one of the people behind the excellent Detachment Programs label and an occasional live member of Macronympha.

John always incorporates aspects of Ambient, Industrial and Power Electronics into the mix, which is certainly the case on "Scopaesthesia" heard in just the first few tracks...but not without a strong emphasis on traditional aspects of Harsh Noise being brought to the forefront more so than on previous releases.

Hand & Knee has a unique way of using droning low end, rhythmic feedback and junk metal clatter and shaping it all into cohesive song-like structures that does what it needs to do without wearing out it's welcome.
