On ZONE, the high concept and/or high octane sound art duo of Mika Taanila and Jussi Lehtisalo reconfigure tabletop hockey. Using contact mics and an old soviet era tabletop hockey game as their only instrument on this recording, Taanila and Lehtisalo dream up and execute eight fictional ice sport spectacles via sound. Zone redefines “hockey music culture” to a completely new level. Olympic success.
