Meidän täytyy valvoa jottemme nukkuisi, sillä maailma on liukas is the first album released under his own name by Finnish sound and experimental video artist Pietu Arvola. Created during a year of personal loss, the album merges field recordings from the last remaining natural forests of southern Finland with microtonal bells, acoustic dislocations, and abstract electronic textures.

The album’s title is derived from a cryptic letter by 19th-century acclaimed painter and theosophy enthusiast Pekka Halonen to his sister. Rooted in themes of attentiveness, disorientation, and the emotional weight of impermanence, Arvola’s sonic language is immersive, idiosyncratic, and hauntingly poetic.
